D&B TransUnion Analytic and Decision Centre (D&B TransUnion ADC) combines the power of Analytics, Consulting and Information Technology to create solutions and IPR-driven products. It is a global Centre of Excellence for Dun & Bradstreet and TransUnion specialized in providing services, solutions and technical products in the areas of Analytics & Scoring, Data Rationalization & Management, Credit Bureaus and Risk Management & Rating.
iDo is a social service initiative by D&B TransUnion ADC that focuses on every individual associate of the organization contributing to chosen social causes like educating the underprivileged, medicare assistance, spreading environmental awareness and a unique Open Source and free software based automation projects for not-for-profit organizations. iDo program was started on 6th September 2007. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is nothing but the sum sigma of individual responsibility of the associates of an organization towards social causes. Hence, we at D&B TransUnion ADC chose to call this "Individual Social Responsibility".
We work in a privileged, knowledge-intensive world of globalization and rapid material progress. We bring together the best of our professional knowledge, cutting-edge skills and a results-oriented bias in our efforts for our business, clients and stakeholders. As individuals and as a group we can contribute to this self satisfaction to a large extent while making a positive impact on the lives of people around us who are not as privileged as we are. Through “iKnow” – a knowledge development and business growth culture set to globalize D&B TransUnion ADC – we now also emphasize individual & corporate expression of service to society under the "iDo".
iDo is an initiative by the associates of D&B TransUnion ADC to institutionalize social service activities with an organization-wide expression of humility, care and self-development. As a group of people, we realize our responsibility in our organization goes beyond achievement of purely professional aspirations – we constantly seek avenues through iDo for personal transformation.
iDo Trust was formed to streamline and actionize altruistic intentions by like minded associates, and collectively we have worked at identifying areas where our contribution significantly improves the way of life for society.
All employees of D&B TransUnion ADC voluntarily contribute towards the corpus fund of this trust. This Corpus is being used to fund the activities carried out by the iDo Team. This amount is deductible from the monthly gross salary payouts of the interested associates. The associates can also contribute more than the standard desired contribution amount at will. iDo has nine trustees who also have individual leadership responsibilities. Each leads a set of activities - Educational Assistance, Medical Assistance, Village work, Open Source Application Software development for social causes and Environmental support. The five basic values – Love, Peace, Truth, Right Conduct and Non-violence that make us human are increasingly becoming not just relevant but integral to business and organizational development. Sustainable professional progress cannot be achieved in exclusion of the practice of human values at workplace and it is with this thought in mind that we have come together to serve the lesser privileged in the society in turn, serving our own self and benefiting from the act. Here at D&B TransUnion, we are convinced regarding this philosophy and are committed to unite social service (what we call Individual Social Responsibility) with professional and organizational development.
iDo sparked at D&B TransUnion ADC with a noble thought of helping the housekeeping staff and workers at office. It was decided to offer free educational assistance to willing and interested housekeeping staff to further pursue educational opportunities which were later extended to many other noble activities. It was also strengthened by the emerging idea of integrating professional development and human values. The initiative inspired the associates of the organization who whole heartedly participated in various iDo activities in turn gaining enriching experiences of touching many lives with their actions.
What we offer in iDo? iDo takes on activities under the three heads of Educational assistance, Healthcare assistance and Socio-care.
- Educational Assistance: iDo offers financial assistance to needy and deserving students to help them continue and complete their education. It also tutors such students on a weekly basis at office premises. iDo reaches out to read out to blind children. It also plans to roll out PC literacy and English communication skills training to under privileged children.
- Healthcare Assistance: iDo reaches out to old age homes to offer medical amenities like medicines as required. It conducted recuperative sessions of games, music and fun activities for patients at a hospital to quicken the healing process. iDo has provided medical assistance to an AIDS children home and a few other similar establishments. A Blood donation camp and a Dental Camp have also been organized.
- Socio-care: iDo works to spread awareness on environmental issues across society. It has conducted a tree plantation activity at a school.., techSAI is another initiative to bring together concrete efforts to build software applications and IT support for social causes like computerizing social service organizations to support special schools, medical institutions, old age homes and rural development.
